Winter: Take a drive through your neighborhood and why not see what your neighbors have for Christmas decorating displays this year. Between twinkling icicles hanging from the eves to giant blow-up snow globes finding the best holiday displays in your area is a fun thing to do with the whole family. My family enjoys this evening road show every year. We pack hot chocolate and homemade cookies, hop in the car and we are off. Some of these homes Christmas display grows yearly starting with simple lights and growing into something you might describe as the “Griswold’s” Christmas. If you are really feeling adventurous then take a ride to Auburn where you will find arguably one of the state’s best private Christmas display. This family has named it the Lights and Sound Christmas Show and it has been voted one of the best lights displays this side of Disney World. This lights display attracts visitors from all over and at times the traffic on Vista Drive can be pretty intense but, the line and wait is worth the WOW factor!

Alfond Arena, where the Black Bears play is located right on the campus was packed and several of the fans were spotted tailgating in the parking lot prior to the start of the game. From the moment that the Black Bears hit the ice, the fans were on their feet shouting for their team. It was a great game; they won and are now one game closer to the frozen four!
