For the sweeter side of your search, Two Fat Cat’s Bakery on India St. is the only place to go. They specialize in cakes and pies and only use the freshest of ingredients. The frosting is pure buttercream, no shortening which means it melts in your mouth! My absolute favorite is the Bourbon Pecan pie with flaky buttery crust and the perfect combo of pecans and gooey Bourbon laced filling. If you are looking for killer sticky buns or some of the best brioche around than Standard Baking Company is the place for you. They offer a great bread selection and the baguettes are to die for. Big Sky Bread Company is another great Portland bakery. They have a great collection of fresh, homemade breads from honey oatmeal, anadama to sensational English muffins. In addition to great breads they also have a wonderful luncheon menu which includes at least five homemade soups and a sandwich menu a mile long all made on their incredibly fresh bread. Kokatosi Campground: Come Play & Stay
Summer: Family camping is made easy when you can set up your tent lakeside and virtually not have to leave again until it’s time to go because all the amenities you need are there. This is exactly what you will find at Kokatosi Campground in Raymond. Kokatosi is located on Crescent Lake which is a very clean large lake located in the Sebago Lakes region. The campground does a great job at keeping visitors entertained with themed weeks, boat rentals on sight (both power and paddle), haywagon rides, recreational games and fishing. Spend the day in your rented boat fishing for small mouth bass or salmon or maybe you want to pick up a game of volleyball or bocce ball at the rec fields. Maybe it’s just relaxing on the sandy beach enjoying the sun and swimming in the crystal clear lake. Whatever you decide Kokatosi Campground has plenty to offer visitors. In addition to having tent and RV sites available the campground also has “on-site” camper rentals that go up to 40ft. This means you can just drive and stay and not worry about a thing. Old Orchard is a great place to spend a day and while you are there you must stop and get a slice of heaven, Lisa’s Pizza of course. Lisa’s Pizza has been on the corner of the main strip and the boardwalk serving hot, greasy, delicious pizza for over 40 years. Just one pass by is enough to make your mouth water with the scent of fresh pepperoni pizza straight from the oven. Not only does Lisa’s serve the best pizza around but, they also offers big bucket of fries with vinegar which seals the deal for those of you who love carnival type food on a budget. Lisa’s art deco counter area gleams with stainless steel and great red and white tile work giving the whole experience a touch of nostalgia. Lisa’s Pizza in Old Orchard is a definite to do while you are in Old Orchard and depending who is in your group you will find something for all ages. The kids will love all the amusement park rides and games. Your teens will enjoy Pirates’ Cove Mini Golf which has a great waterfall and mountain cave that you must make your way through before sinking your ball into the 18th hole. Old Orchard also offers shopping both for souvenirs and some fun specialty shops. There are plenty of dining options or if you just want to enjoy a cocktail beachside then you may want to hit the Oceanside Grill which has a great deck that is on the beach and offers live bands on a regular basis. Perhaps the ladies would like to spend the day on the beach than the guys can check out the fishing charters in the area all offer recreational fishing excursions for the day. Sebago Lake Camping: Camp At One Of Maine’s Finest Lakes!
