Chocolate Church: Sing It’s Christmas!

Fall: Christmas carols, they are fun to sing and they often bring you back to a nostalgic memory from the past. In days gone by, people would often gather with their music books in hand and make their way around town singing traditional carols for all to enjoy. Now it is often a rare but, welcomed sight to see a group of holiday carolers. One Maine town has made holiday caroling an annual event and it is a perennial favorite for many in the community Sing It’s Christmas has been hosted by the Chocolate Church in Bath. This free sing-along is a holiday favorite. The Bath Municipal Band usually supplies the music and the community the voices. Held in the middle of December it is sure to put you in the holiday spirit and the kids really like to join in the singing and fun!

Christmas Cove: A Visit to the Unique Yankee B & B

Fall: Local legend has it that one Christmas Eve in the early 1600’s, explorer Captain John Smith anchored in “Christmas Cove”. The name stuck and Christmas Cove has been a safe harbor for local fishing boats, yachts and watercrafts ever since. If you have never been there then, this is the perfect time of year far from tourist season, to a drive down the coast and check out Chirstmas Cove. New Year’s By The Bay: Belfast New Year Celebration

Fall: Hard to imagine but, you should be making your New Year’s Eve plans now. In Belfast, starting at 5 p.m. on December 31, revelers can enjoy a whole host of activities from live performances by local musicians and entertainers. There are plenty of fun activities for all ages hot, delicious food from many local eateries. The kids love to listen to the storytellers, watch the jugglers and everyone loves to take a horse and carriage ride. Face painting and games for children, the list goes on and on. Visitors will find most of the nights activities being held throughout the downtown area in Belfast. Depending on what you like you can enjoy several musical acts ranging from rock to bluegrass, folk and jazz there is something to please everyone. Of special note, The Williamson House, a historic Belfast landmark has a wonderful lighted display of 20 ice carvings which have dazzled crowds in years past. Maine Antique Toy & Art Museum: A Step Back In Time

Winter,Spring,Summer & Fall: Stepping inside the Maine Antique Toy & Art Museum is like taking a walk back in history. The Museum is choke full of antique toys from the 1930’s, 40’s & 50’s. The Museum owner has been collecting these precious items for years and has an impressive collection of toys ranging from an original 1930’s Mickey Mouse to a original pieces belonging to the Lone Ranger which include his hat, mask and the two original Colt .45 pistols. This is a antique toy collection that can only be described as abundant. From toy soldiers, to Lionel trains, Staffordshire to original comic book art. Visitors have called this one of the finest collections in world. The museum is located on Route 1 in Waldoboro and open year round with limited winter hours.
