Winter: Mid December means a change in season and the Winter Solstice. The Winter Solstice falls on December 22nd this year and marks the longest night of the year. Why not have a Winter Solstice celebration. You could invite your friends over and enjoy the evening around a bonfire. Serve hot cups of wassail to drink and hand out music books to sing carols or even drinking songs around the fire. The Theater At Monmouth: Maine’s Shakespearian Theater

The Theater was given the title Shakespearian Theater in Maine by the Maine legislature five years later. Visitors to this community theater will see why when they attend one of their productions. The professional caliber of these nationally recognized plays all housed in a historically recognized building, Cumston Hall. Their 2008 schedule will mark their 39th season of bringing some of the finest productions to the stages of this theater in Maine. The theater’s season opens in January with the Shakespearian classic, Macbeth. The theater is easy to find located right in the heart of Monmouth on Main Street.
