Mini Golf: There’s Lots Of Puttin’ Around To Do

Summer: Looking for something to do on a cloudy day or in the early evening? Well, here in Maine, mini golfers flock to adventure golf courses. The challenge of golfing your way through waterfalls, over bridges and straight out a cannon makes a round of mini golf a challenging way to spend some time. At Pirates Cove Adventure Golf Course in Old Orchard Beach, players have the option of choosing from three separate courses. There is the Captain’s Course, Blackbeards Challenge or the 36-Hole Adventure. In addition to having the perfect course to choose from beach goers have a nice reprieve from the sun. The Big Adventure Center near Sunday River Ski Area in Bethel offers a challenging 18-hole course that tests your accuracy with twisting greens and hidden holes and you will love the replica of the Artist Bridge, the famous wooden covered bridge in Newry. Not to mention, the setting of the course with Sunday River in the background will take your breath away. After a round of mini golf why not stop in and enjoy another summer treat ice cream! Stop in at Bethel’s Best Pizza Grille and Dairy Bar for a cold treat like the tin roof sundae or my favorite, the hot apple sundae. Enjoy a fun round of mini golf and a cold ice cream, this is the way life should be!
