Maine Things To Do Home Shows: There's Always Room For Improvement
Posted by mainetodo on Tuesday, January 22 @ 17:04:35 PST

Winter: Spring usually means project time for Maine’s homeowners. The list goes on of what needs to be done to maintain your home. If you are in the process of putting your to do list together now than a trip to the annual Maine Home, Remodeling and Garden Show is a must. This show has been held in February at the Cumberland County Civic Center and is a great resource for those looking for home improvement services and advice, gardening tips and product demonstrations. After the show you could head to the Old Port and stop in at Brian Boru’s to mull

over your home to do list. This is a great establishment. Boru’s has a friendly, welcoming environment with pub style seating, great food and cold beer. The crowd is pretty laid back and the second floor usually has music of some sort playing. Sunday afternoons they usually have Irish music playing on the second level so it would be a perfect stop after walking around the Civic Center all day.
