Maine Things To Do Pond Hockey: Let The Games Begin
Posted by mainetodo on Tuesday, January 22 @ 17:00:38 PST

Winter: Calling all of you shimmy hockey fans, the 2nd annual New England Pond Hockey Festival is almost here again this February. This event has been hugely popular with pond hockey fans and has doubled in size just in one year. The festival will be held in Rangley on Haley Pond and is a round robin tournament with 20 teams and over 120 players so the competition should be fun and varied. The tournament ends with a championship round for the top 8 teams. Pond

hockey has been a fun filled Maine winter activity that is very popular. If you do go to watch the friendly competition you should plan an overnight stay at the Loon Lodge. Nestled near the lake with spectacular view, this log cabin style lodge offers overnight guest a roaring fireplace to warm up by and a great restaurant. The rooms are cozy and quaint and the hospitality is almost as great as the view!
