Maine Things To Do Winter Fun: Ice Fishing To Ice Sculptures
Posted by mainetodo on Monday, January 07 @ 17:34:20 PST

Winter: If you looking for a fun way to try to earn a little money and you enjoy fishing you may want to register for the annual Long Lake Ice Fishing Tournament in St. Agatha. Participants compete to win a $5000 purse which would certainly come in handy this time of year. The tournament allows fishing on four of the beautiful surrounding lakes in the area. Looking for something similar in the southern half of the state? Check out the Sebago Lake Derbyfest. This event includes and ice fishing tournament

on Sebago Lake called the Togue Tournament, the Speed Run which includes racing under the lights, the Polar Ice dip and a separate kids derby. There is plenty to see like unbelievable ice sculptures and don’t forget to check out the original Ice Mall filled with locally made crafts and Maine made products. There is definitely something for everyone and both events are a great way to enjoy winter in Maine.
