Maine Things To Do The Theater At Monmouth: Maine's Shakespearian Theater

Winter,Spring,Summer & Fall: The Theater in Monmouth was established in 1970 in this small central Maine town. The Theater was given the title Shakespearian Theater in Maine by the Maine legislature five years later. Visitors to this community theater will see why when they attend one of their productions. The professional caliber of these nationally recognized plays all housed in a historically recognized building,

Cumston Hall. Their 2008 schedule will mark their 39th season of bringing some of the finest productions to the stages of this theater in Maine. The theater’s season opens in January with the Shakespearian classic, Macbeth. The theater is easy to find located right in the heart of Monmouth on Main Street.
