Maine Things To Do Winter Solstice: Celebrate A Change In Season
Posted by mainetodo on Wednesday, December 19 @ 17:08:16 PST

Winter: Mid December means a change in season and the Winter Solstice. The Winter Solstice falls on December 22nd this year and marks the longest night of the year. Why not have a Winter Solstice celebration. You could invite your friends over and enjoy the evening around a bonfire. Serve hot cups of wassail to drink and hand out music books to sing carols or even

drinking songs around the fire. Make sure you take full advantage of the fire and pull out a bag of marshmallows for roasting. This is a celebration of longer and warmer days to come! Having a Winter Solstice party can be a great time for you to break away from all the holiday hoopla and just spend some time enjoying the simple pleasures in life, friends, fire and drinks.
