Maine Things To Do Hockey: Maine College Teams Kick It Up
Posted by mainetodo on Monday, December 17 @ 18:12:39 PST

Winter: College hockey in Maine can be a real treat to watch. We are graced by several great college teams in the area. Bowdoin, Colby and University of Maine all have very strong hockey teams and loyal fan following which makes attending a game a blast. We recently made our way up to Orono to watch the Maine Black Bears do their stuff. Alfond Arena, where the Black Bears play is located right on the campus was packed and several of the fans were spotted tailgating

in the parking lot prior to the start of the game. From the moment that the Black Bears hit the ice, the fans were on their feet shouting for their team. It was a great game; they won and are now one game closer to the frozen four!
