Maine Things To Do Snow Tubing: Maine's Best Toboggan And Snow Tubing Chutes
Posted by mainetodo on Wednesday, December 05 @ 18:05:44 PST

Winter: Sledding and tubing always seems like a great idea with the exception of having to carry everything up the hill in order to enjoy the trip down. With snow on the ground many local ski mountains and tobogganing and tubing parks visitors a quick rides up the hill on chairlifts or rope tows, and for even faster rides back down. You may want to head down to the coast and take a ride down Camden Snow Bowl’s toboggan chute. Annually, the Snow Bowl host the National Toboggan Championships. If you are the faint of heart than a trip down this icy chute is not for you but, if you don't have a fear of high speeds this may be just the thrill you are looking for! Looking for a similar and slightly less terrifying thrill? Grab a tube and hit the hills. Snow tubing has grown

in popularity over the past five years and Maine offers many options for this exciting family activity. Several ski areas have some great tubing runs with lift service to the top of the hill. Mt Abram has one of the longest tubing parks and Rumford’s Black Mountains has one of the steepest. No matter where you go, be prepared to have a blast, and make sure to hold onto your hat for some hair raising fun!
