Maine Things To Do Maine Narrow Guage Railroad: Ride The Christmas Train
Posted by mainetodo on Tuesday, November 27 @ 17:06:46 PST

Fall: Looking for something fun to do with the entire family? Take a trip back in time at the Maine Narrow Gauge Railroad Co. & Museum! the ride along the two foot track system allows riders to enjoy views of Portland's waterfront while riding aboard these antique rail cars. The passenger cars are pulled by authentic steam and diesel locomotives. During the holiday season the railroad offers rides along Casco Bay around the Eastern Promenade with a magical light show set up for visitors to enjoy. Christmas lights decorate

the interior of the coaches as well as the railroad museum. Visitors can see Santa waiting for them and waiting to listen to children's Christmas wish lists. Homemade holiday cookies, hot chocolate and hot spiced apple cider set the Christmas tone among the vintage coaches and train exhibits. It’s a fun ride for the whole family!
