Maine Things To Do The Nutcracker: Maine State Ballet Company
Posted by mainetodo on Tuesday, November 20 @ 17:27:42 PST

Fall: If you have never been to the ballet then now is the time to get lost in the story of Clara and the Nutcracker prince. Live on the stage of the Merrill Auditorium, the Portland Ballet Company brings this classic story to life. This perennial favorite draws a crowd that never leaves disappointed. There are both evening and matinee performances so all age groups can attend. What a fun way

to spend an evening with family or friends. The performance is impeccable and the audience is captivated as Clara and her family make their way through the Land of Snow. The set is beautiful, the music is performed perfectly by the Maine State Ballet Orchestra and the ballerinas…they are magical.
