Maine Things To Do Christmas Trees: Cut Your Own At A Local Tree Farm!
Posted by mainetodo on Sunday, November 18 @ 17:27:32 PST

Fall: Once Thanksgiving dinner is over the conversation quickly moves along to where and when you are going to get your Christmas tree. If you have never experienced going out and picking and cutting your own, this is the year. With so many “pick and choose” tree farms, it won’t be hard to find one close to you. The fun of course is that you get to go out into the “woods” and search until you find that perfect tree. Some of the farms offer horse and carriage rides that will bring you either out to the fields or back to the tree lodge once you have cut your tree down. No need for special tools, the farms will provide you with the perfect saw. All you

need is an eye for the size you are looking for and start cutting. Monmouth happens to be tree farm haven and at either Evergreen Acre Tree Farm or Frederickson’s you are sure to find the tree that you are looking for. There is something that really puts you in the Christmas spirit when you get out in the fields amongst all those trees and realize what a wonderful time of year this really is! Don’t forget to get your wreaths, most of these farms have them all made up and ready to go.
