Fall: Holiday shoppers in Freeport are sure to enjoy a little magic during Sparkle weekend. This annual holiday kick-off event is sure to please both young and old. The town comes alive with lights and festivities. The children really love the talking Christmas tree in the village center which is always a huge hit. Seeing the magic in their eyes while they shriek with delight is worth a trip there by itself. The Magic Parade of Lights parade is full of holiday cheer and the perfect way to celebrate the arrival of Santa . You can enjoy free hot cocoa and cookies while watching the parade floats light up the night sky. Make sure to bundle up and dress warm for the parade and the free horse drawn wagon rides through town. Don’t miss the Holly
Jolly Fair and Cake Party hosted by the First Congregational Church. For all of you holiday shoppers, you will find sparkling sales that are held throughout town that night. There are musical events and the weekend ends with a benefit Jingle Bell Run and Walk for all ages and all abilities.
