Maine Things To Do Moonlight Paddle: Stillness Surrounds You
Posted by mainetodo on Wednesday, August 29 @ 17:07:56 PDT

Fall, Summer: A moonlight paddle can provide kayakers a different perspective than the counterpart. Paddling into the sunset and watching the moon rise can be an awesome experience. Once the full moon has taken it's position you can catch the silvery moonlight in the wake of your kayak and enjoy the quiet peace that comes with the end of the day. Depending on the weather the moonlight can play an important and beautiful part in your moonlight paddle. The bright moonlight can change

everything and sounds can echo from miles away. There are kayak companies around the state that offer moonlight paddles. We recently visited the mid-coast area and stopped in at Seaspray Kayaking. Their guided tour was absolutely amazing and the guides were helpful and knowlegable for beginners. We were able to enjoy a relaxing paddle as we navigated beneath the stars. At the end of the paddle we were greated back to shore with a fire and snack. It was a great trip and well worth the money spent.
