Maine Things To Do Bar Harbor: A Haven For The Whole Family
Posted by mainetodo on Monday, August 20 @ 05:27:14 PDT

Summer,Fall: Bar Harbor is a haven for families and can be a great place to take kids. At low tide you can see how Bar Harbor got it's name. Take the kids down to the beach with pails and shovels and explore what the ocean uncovers along the large sand bar that connects Bar Island to downtown Bar Harbor. You can also spend sometime at the Ocanarium and Lobster Hatchery. There is a great hands-on water cycel exibit and the seal education exihibit will keep

all ages entertained. There are 50 miles plus of carriage roads that are always ready for exploration by foot or bike. Park Street Playground in Downtown Bar Harbor will keep the little ones entertained with a great swing set, sandbox, slide and tetter-totter. Whatever your family wants to do you can find it in Bar Harbor, it's just a great family destination spot!
