Summer: Ahhh, summer, your kids are home, they have tons of energy to burn so why not spend a day at one of the area's coolest playgrounds. Castles, towers, winding tunnels, mazes and swings you name it, you can find it at one of Southern Maine's playgrounds. Maze Craze in Falmouth is one of Southern Maine's most popular. Located on Route 9 there is a double decker sandbox in the middle perfect for the little

ones. With swings, tire jungles and monkey bars in addition to twisting slides kids can get lost in the fun. Another fun play spot is at Nan Jones Kimball Memorial Playground in Yarmouth. With the large wooden "Kidship Yarmouth" as the the piece de la resistence for the entire play area. Your kids can pretend they swash buckling pirates manning the big wooden steering wheel and walking the planks made from wood. A lookout tower from the "crow's nest" allows a birds eye view of the whole playground. Harbor Playground in Kennebunk has a real Maine nautical feel with a play lobster boat, giant wooden lobster in the sand, see-saw, tube slides and lighthouse. Don't forget to take a ride ont the two-humped camel on springs. So why not spend some fun filled family time at one of these great playgrounds, your kids will be glad you did!
