Maine Things To Do North Country Camping: Hidden Springs Campground
Posted by mainetodo on Sunday, July 08 @ 18:14:18 PDT

Summer: So you have decided to take a trip to the North Woods and you are wondering where to stay. You want the quiet of Baxter State Park but, the ammenties of a town just in case you need more ice or a flashlight you discovered missing after you set up your tent and now it's dark. Hidden Springs Campground in Millinocket is a great choice. They offer over 70

camping sites and 32 R.V. sites and miles of bike paths for all ages to enjoy. They have also developed the "Moose Map" which directs visitors to the best places to spot a moose, get some great photos of Katahdin and some of the prettiest beaches and waterfalls along the way. The campsite is family friendly and has a swimming pool, volleyball and horseshoe area, free hot showers and "fish stories" at the main office. While you are there you can drive over to Baxter and spend the day hiking then come back and take a nice hot shower and enjoy the campfire.
