Maine Things To Do Strawberry Picking: Enjoy The Fruit Of Your Labor
Posted by mainetodo on Friday, June 29 @ 11:55:39 PDT

Summer: Summer is strawberry season and picking them was never easier at one of the areas frest strawberry farms. As you arrive you will be greeted by friendly workers willing to help you start your venture. You can get the pint or quart size cartons right at the entrance then just find your way to the fields and before your eyes the red beauties unfold. Rows of green low bushes covered with big, red juicy strawberries just bursting with flavor. This is a great family activity

that can be enjoyed on a summer afternoon. The best part is popping one in your mouth and enjoying the tart and sweet flavor of one of Maine's finest harvest. There are berry farms around the state, Popp Farm in Dresden, Pikes Pick Your Own Strawberries in Farminton or Rome Strawberry Patch in Rome just to name a few. So come on out to a local berry farm and "pick your own" and enjoy the fruits of your labor.
