Maine Things To Do Snowshoeing Moosehead Lake: Winter’s Way Of Walking
Posted by mainetodo on Thursday, January 04 @ 08:42:44 PST

Winter: Moosehead Lake is a great spot for snowshoers of all skill levels. With over 100 miles of maintained trails, and many miles of untouched trails, this area is one of the best places in Maine to snowshoeing. While traveling along these trails, you will have several opportunities to explore the northern woods and all it has to offer. You will see spectacular views of frozen ponds, waterfalls, snow capped mountains. And of course,

you could spot some of the different wildlife that inhabits this area such as local rabbit, moose, or deer. You can bring your whole family for a nice snowshoe walk through the woods, or you can spend the whole day out on a trail burning off some extra winter energy with your snowshoes.
