Spring, Summer, Fall: Baxter State Park, located in Piscataquis County, Maine, encompasses over 204,000 acres of forest. The hiking terrain is suitable for the novice or advanced climber. There are 46 mountain peaks within Baxter State Park, 18 of which exceed 3000 feet in elevation. With over 200 miles of maintained trails you can

enjoy your hike in solitude. The scenery is simply breath taking as you summit any of the massive peaks. Be sure to call the park in advance. The parking spaces at the trailheads are limited, you may need a reservation.
