Maine Things To Do Moosehead Lake: So Ya Wanna See A Moose?
Posted by mainetodo on Monday, June 26 @ 04:54:54 PDT

Spring, Summer, Fall: So ya wanna see a Moose? Well, the Mooshead Lake region of Maine has no shortage of Moose. Spring, is a great time to drive around the Lake in search of moose. As the weather begins to warm up, the moose sightings do to. It is not uncommon to see 20 or so moose per day in the spring. The best part is that you do not have to go searching in the remote back woods of Maine. No need to go down the unfamiliar logging roads, because there is no shortage of moose hanging out on the main roads. Use Greenville, Maine as a starting point. You can head towards Rockwood or up towards

Kokadjo. Drive slow and look on both sides of the road, but don't forget to look in front of you and in the middle of the road too! Moose tend to prefer the shallow, swampy areas that line the roads. Early morning and twilight hours are the best times to go in search of Moose. As tourist activity slows down in the fall. The leaves begin to change and the air begins to cool moose sightings once again become more frequent. The fall is a beautiful time of year in the Moosehead Lake region and a great time of year to see a moose. So, no matter what the season: fill up on gas, grab a couple beverages and drive in any direction around Moosehead Lake for a little moose watching! Click Here For All Relevant Info
