Maine Things To Do Summer Fun For Kids: Slip Slidin’ Away All Day!
Posted by mainetodo on Sunday, July 27 @ 11:13:14 PDT

Summer: A visit to one of Maine’s waterparks is a fun way to do something on a hot summer day. With two in the southern Maine region, visitors can take their pick of the thrills and spills of sliding down the slippery slide. Funtown Splashtown offers some of the newest waterslides going. With the unveiling of the Vortex waterslide, waterpark lovers will be thrilled as they get dumped into the swirling funnel and dropped into the lower pool with a huge splash. The nice thing about Splashtown is they cater to all ages with kiddie pools and kiddie waterslides. Splashtown is open every day from Memorial Day to Labor Day. After spending some time in the water, head over to the other half of the park and enjoy the amusement rides and games. It’s a fun way to spend the day. If you are only interested in a water park than Aquaboggin is the place for you. With $10 Mondays,

who can’t afford the fun! They have a huge wave pool, the Aquasaucer and of course, the bumper boats which everybody loves to do. Both of these water parks are located in Saco on Route 1 so they are easy to find and close to other area attractions like Old Orchard Beach and Portland. Like Funtown, Aquaboggin is open until September 1st. There are some smaller waterslides such as the one at Seacoast Fun Park in Windham and at the Big Adventure Center in Bethel. So get wet and wild this summer and head out to one of Maine’s water parks to enjoy some slip slidin’ fun.
