Summer: The Sebago Lakes region is the place to be in the summer and Naples is one of those lakeside towns where visitors and natives converge to enjoy this quaint lakeside village. Naples is the dividing line between Long Lake and Brandy Pond with a causeway that runs down the center. The town has a small downtown area that offers shopping and restaurants for visitors. A great place to check out is Rick’s Café which has become a “staple” for both natives and guest in this town. With access for boaters from the lake, Rick’s sits in the middle of the causeway and offers great food, views and live entertainment on a nightly basis. On the causeway you will also find a marina where jet ski and boat rental are available for you to explore the lake. If you would prefer to be driven around the lake than the Songo Queen, reminiscent of a Mississippi paddle boat runs along Long Lake and into the locks allowing you to sit back and enjoy the views. Another great
way to see the sites is to take a seaplane excursion which you can pick-up on the docks of the causeway. With all the Victorian Inns in the area plan an overnight stay in Naples and be pampered. These inns offer guest all the comforts of home and often you will find many guest relaxing on the front verandas enjoying lake views. One such place is the Inn at Long Lake. With its stained glass windows, wicker porch furniture and Victorian décor guest can pick from 16 rooms all carefully decorated with period antiques. Wake up early to have your coffee and homemade blueberry muffins on the porch while enjoying the cry of the loons. Speaking of which, make sure you check out the Cry of the Loon gift shop and art gallery just up the road while you are there. Naples is a wonderful place to vacation so make sure you put it on your to do list this summer.
