Summmer: Maybe you have done the camping thing but, now you are looking to rent a Maine cottage and not sure where to start. If you are heading toward the Moosehead Lake region there are some great places to rent on the lake one being The Cozy Moose Lakeside Cabins in Greenville. Here you will find small cabins just feet from the lake or a full log cabin suitable to accommodate a large crowd year round. Greenville is a great lakeside town full of small shops, restaurants. While you are there take a paddle boat ride on the Katahdin which cruises Moosehead Lake from the docks of the town boat landing. This whole area and the allure of the great north woods is worth the trip! Another great place to spend some time is the Rangeley Lakes region and like most Maine vacation spots there are some great cottages to rent whether it be lakeside or mountain high. Lyons Lakeside Cabins are private, clean and affordable.

Close to downtown these cabins are great for some quiet time exploring the Western half of the state. Rangeley is a great four season destination spot where both summer visitors can enjoy the lake and winter guest can enjoy the miles of groomed trails to ride. Penobscot Bay in the heart of the mid-coast is a perfect place to stay and Glenmoor By the Sea Resort is the perfect spot. While you are there be sure to check out the amenities of the area. These cozy cottages look out onto scenic Penobscot Bay and are close to all there is to do in Camden and Belfast. Make sure to stop in and hike up Mt. Battie where the views of Camden Harbor will take your breath away and when you are done head into town to sit down by the waterfront and enjoy the boats coming into and out of this beautiful harbor. Maine cottages to rent are plentiful so take advantage of these prime locations and spend some time finding the perfect spot for your next getaway.
